The entry requirements for admission to programmes offered at UTC-Kichwamba are in line with the minimum standards set by the National Council for Higher Education (NCHE).
Applicants recommended by the relevant departments are considered and approved for admission by the University Joint Admissions Board(UJAB). The decisions of the UJAB are communicated to the respective applicants.
Successful applicants are required to deposit a commitment fee, which is part of the first semester tuition fees, and collect admission letters, from the Admissions office. The Admission Letter comprises of a conditional offer to the applicant to register for a specific academic programme, basing on the copies of academic and other documents submitted in the application form.
i) Direct Entry
(i) At least one (1) principal pass obtained at the same sitting in Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education or its equivalent.
(ii) At least five (5) passes obtained at the same sitting in Uganda Certificate of Education, or its equivalent.
ii) Certificate Entry
(i) At least a credit in a two (2) years certificate or its equivalent in a relevant field from a recognized tertiary institution
(ii) At least three (3) passes obtained at the same sitting in Uganda Certificate of Education, or its equivalent.
