ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

The entry requirements for admission to programmes offered at UTC-Kichwamba are in line with the minimum standards set set under TVET policy 2019.

Applicants recommended by the relevant departments are considered and approved for admission by the Regional TVET selection Committees. The decisions of the Regional TVET selection Committees are communicated to the successfull applicants.

Successful applicants are required to deposit a commitment fee, which is part of the first semester tuition fees, and collect admission letters, from the Admissions office. The Admission Letter comprises of a conditional offer to the applicant to register for a specific academic programme, basing on the copies of academic and other documents submitted in the application form.

Diploma Programmes

i) Direct Entry

(i) At least one (1) principal pass obtained at the same sitting in Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education or its equivalent.

(ii) At least five (5) passes obtained at the same sitting in Uganda Certificate of Education, or its equivalent.

ii) Certificate Entry

(i) At least a credit in a two (2) years certificate or its equivalent in a relevant field from a recognized tertiary institution

(ii) At least three (3) passes obtained at the same sitting in Uganda Certificate of Education, or its equivalent.

Higher National Diploma programmes

Entry requirements

(i) Must have  obtained a Diploma of  Uganda National examination board, Uganda Business and Technical examination Board or Uganda Vocational and Technical Assessment Board in the relevant fields.

International Technical Certificate Progrmmes(ITC)

ELIGIBILITY: 

Eligible candidates for the international Technical certified programs should have:
1. Level 2 Diploma
    Prior knowledge in programme applied for.

2. Skills Proficiency Certificate
     No entry requirement required
